On Saturday I found out my best friend Pete was in the hospital in a coma. Last night they said he had a massive stroke at the base of his brain and he will be a veg the rest of his life. His family will unplug him today and let him go. He is only 48 years old.
Pete has a '82 CE and was a trial member here (PB82CE) and was going to join. He went with me to all the cruise nights and car shows. He is leaving his wife and 2 daughters. I could not have asked for a better friend.
Please say a prayer for Pete and his family. Broken%20Heart
Thank You,
Dave

Dave, I didn't know your friend but my prayers go out to his family and friends.  I know they, and you are going to miss him terribly.

It's never easy losing someone close, regardless of age.  We have to be thankful for the time together, the laughter, tears, and memories shared, and the hope of being together again in another time and space.

Thanks for the replies, I will pass on the thoughts to his wife.
If anyone has back issues of Corvette Enthusiest, Pete's car was on the cover of the Dec. 2004 issue along with a spread inside. His CE is one of the best one's I've seen.

extend my condolences too please. it is hard losing someone close but it means a lot to people when their other "family" here puts them on there prayer list. my brother was killed in viet nam and a couple of years ago had the opportunity because of the internet to be in touch with some of the guys that served with him. never meeting any of them and all of them making me feel as part of their family meant and still does mean a lot to me. my thoughts and prayers are with the family and you.
