What is wrong with the world!? (More specifically, the middle east)

And how is it that so many crazy people are willing to blow themselves up?

I don't understand it either. The hate has been brewing for centuries, not just in the Middle East but in other areas of the world as well. We as a nation (the U.S.) haven't been around that long. I do know this however, we can't expect to be able to solve the rest of the world's problems, as good intensioned as we may think we are. Mainly because I don't think we, as a nation or people, have experienced the kind of despiration and hopelessness that many of those peoples have, and are, experiencing. Unfortunately it isn't something that will be able to be fixed in short order, but I truely hope that some answers are found deep in some souls that will turn around the thinking of trying to solve things through bloodshed. Innocent people should not have to live in fear.

I agree. People all over need to change. We have to learn to live together.... Sounds impossible, but it would be nice. With weapons and technology advancing at the rate it is, its a scary thought to think some of those people who are willing to kill themselves to prove a point will get their hands on it. I'm tired of hiring about innocent people losing their lives... its a tragedy.

Unfortunately, we as a species have been at war with each other since before recorded history. It is how we are. The truely sad thing is, after all these years and all the death, we still haven't learned how to live together, if not in peace, at least in tolerability of each other's beliefs

The answer is capitalism... provide them with a free market and give them something to work toward, like a new vette. Capitalism isnt perfect but its the best thing going. Greed drives capitalism. Its what you do with greed that will determine whether its good or evil.
Give the Mid East a dose of capitalism, teach them that greed isn't evil and watch what happens...

Possibly a good idea would be to liberate their women. Once that happens, the men won't have time to fight with anyone else

Ya... liberate their women. Probably would work better than capitalism... Really!!!

I dunno, we fred my sister and she rained hell upon the family, we bought a Vette and peace has resumed! (sister is just ignored now) I'm all for capitolism, but selling it is a different story, what they have "works" and we are evil because what we have actually works...go figure!

Did anyone see 20/20 this week? They had a piece on it about some Israelies sitting on a van and kind of laughing and horsing around while they watched the WTC burn. The report indicated they might have been Mosad agents and that the Mosad might have had info about the attack. Kinda strange. I would really hate to believe that they would not warn us in advance.

Especially not after being so close when it happened...and after being so close to being there. Really messes with your head.
