One of our members is ill.  He was hesitant to tell anyone, and I under stand that.  He's a private person.

Captn bill has lung cancer.  He is going to be operated on, and have part of a lung lobe removed.  He is now on kemo.

His prospects look good, and Bill should be up and going about 6 to 8 weeks after surgery.   Bill is one of the good guys, and one of us.   I haved enjoyed his company over cars and lunch, and plan on doing just that same thing again in the future.  Please include him in your prayers.

Capt. Bill will be added to our list of friends we will pray for. We hope for the best. It always seems to happen to the good ones, doesn't it?
Thanks for the info, Ken.

Hi Guys, I haven't been on the board all that much for quite awhile with all thats been going on but, I wanted to chime in and thank you for the thoughts and prayers, they mean alot to me. As Ken has said, I'm currently going through radiation and chemo treatments to shrink the tumor to a more operable size. The goal is to just remove a lobe of my lung while going for a full cure. They found it early so the prognosis is good. Thanks again.
Bill

Bill, I'm praying for you also.  Keep a positive attitude and do what needs to be done.  I am a 7 year survivor of lung cancer. They removed my left lung and am doing fine.  Trust the doctors that they know what they are doing and will do the best for you.  With all of the support from your family and friends here, you will come out great.  Best of luck and keep your chin up.

Vette(s): 1972 coupe/350 cid/mild cam/4 spd/20 ft. paint (looks perfect from 20 ft.), but it sure runs nice.

My gig is operating the GE Discovery LS PET/CT imaging system......one of the latest tools in the "Fight". You'd be surprised how well the patients are responding to treatment nowadays. The days of the "cure is worse than the disease" are practically over. Good luck and hang in there. You can always count on us for anything.
