No one is trying to censor anyone and while we all know this is "GENERAL NON-VETTE DISCUSSION" we should also realize that this is the "Official C3 Vette Registry".
This is not www.georgebushisthenewjesus.com nor is it www.johnkerryissatanincarnate.com or vice versa. Although I do applaud those of you who supported kerry for not whining about the loss here.
This series of threads is just like a broken record. We know George W Bush won. Whether you watch left wing CNN or right wing FOX, everybody knows George Bush won and we have heard nothing but endless speculation and analysis as to why. For the last two weeks everytime I turn on the TV I hear about two people I detest and EVERYDAY for the past two or three months I come here and read about two people I detest (three if you count Moore).
We have heard "ad infinitum" how great bush is and how bad kerry sucks. I expressed my opinion before the election that they both suck, this hasnt changed and isnt going to change.
Now even the news channels have moved on from the endless mindless blather of political debate. CNN and Fox are "all Scott Peterson all the time" now.
Why would you think talking about politics any less annoying here than it is at a bar. MOST people have the common decency not to talk about religion or politics at a bar. Why doesnt that common decency apply here. Im here to talk about vettes, how to fix my vette and when I can, to help other people fix theirs. An occasional political, sociological, or even religious thread is fine in this category. But how about some damn moderation.

How many of you would get annoyed if I posted some mindless pro Michael Moore BS EVERY SINGLE DAY?
Freedom of speech also includes the freedom to get irritated about someone elses speech. Everyone of us has the freedom to be ANNOY everyone else and EVERYONE of us has the right to GET ANNOYED at everyone else. Most people have the decency to talk about religion and politics in the proper forum (ie websites dedicated to mindless blather). I am as guilty as anyone else of replying to this crap, at one point we all have and I'm doing it right now. How many threads have I started about politics? 1... maybe How many has C3R? 200+? HUGE disparity.
Just because most of the members here are pro Bush doesnt mean all of us are, some are democrats, some of us (me included) are independents.
Corvettes are what unite us, politics does nothing but divide us. If there are 2000 members here I hope there are 2000 distinct political views, and there are countless internet sites devoted to their expression.
Until this becomes www.c3vrandbushfanclub.com lets stick to talking about our cars and leave talking about politics to www.godhateskerry.com

I dont hate the topic, In fact I post fairly regularly on POLITICAL WEBSITES. I just like escaping once and a while. With the news organizations constantly talking about this crap, having just lived though months of seeing this crap as every other ad on TV. Reading all the right wing lunatic posts you put on, the left wing lunatic posts others put on. Im really sick of it. Im sure others are too. Dave to name one. You live in Washington, a blue state. Im sure every other Ad you watched was just for erectile dysfunstion. Arkansas is a swing state. I got all the same ED ads but they were interspersed with Politcal ads. PLEASE take the lunacy to a POLITICAL WEBSITE and post more of those INFORMATIVE CORVETTE REFERENCE articles that youre so good at finding here on the CORVETTE WEBSITE.
