For those of you that listen, or used to listen to Metallica (which I think is about 15% of the forums, l00l) I noticed that during the last year Metallica has changed their music style. I like some of their new songs, I bought their new CD with Saint- Anger on it. Here it is:

http://fattyslims.com/mirrors/music/rock/metalica%20-%20sain t%20anger.mp3 I don't know, doesn't it seem a bit white power music to you? I wonder whats up with Metallica?

I quit listening to them around the time they came out with the black album...  they sold out..  and that whole whiny thing with napster made me sick also..

edit:

youre right..  "and justice for all" was on the other side of the sell out hill...  but not quite as bad as the black album..  I dont remember who produced "black" but i think it was the same producer that poision used...  I liked "master of puppets" and "ride the lightning" the best...  "kill em all" was a bit rough..

dave's best was "rust in peace"

as for fav's...  beach boys, soundgarden, alice in chains, sublime, cranberries, garbage.

I dont know I liked st anger. At least they stopped sounding like they were playing "one" all the damn time. Your right about em selling out though, started to sux right after Master of puppets. Ride the lightning and Kill em all were great. However dave mustaine wrote most of the tunes on them. While we are on the subject whats yalls favorite bands?

I thought the new album sucked so bad that I tossed it in a dumpster right after I listened to it. I like the post black album music, but not as much as the older stuff.

After I bought the St Anger disc, I took the damn thing out and used it for target practice. They have been on a downward spiral for years now, and this bilge is the worst that they've ever come out with.

As for the Mustaine years, I still love Megadeth, and his side project, MD45. These albums are even harder than Megadeth, and no sellouts either.

Black Label Society always rocks, also. There aren't too many guitarists that stay true like Zakk Wylde does anymore.

By the way, Gwen Stefani is an Ubergoddess!!!!!
