when a navy guy says anything resembling "crossing the line" I get scared.
anyhow, jokes aside...active Army NG, 02 through who the hell knows. recruiters been after me for the "real army", offerin me both airborne and ranger schools, but I'm more oriented on stayin here and gettin my degree so I can be a cop and move to SWAT. if only there was a way I could complete ranger or SF training in the Guard. I know the Florida NG has an SF unit...just gotta figure out how to get some of that yummy training.

My son is coming home on the 19th of this month from his first set of schooling out of basic, he is now an offical corpman for a marine recon unit ( excuse the spellin') he has only been in the Navy since around June he will be home for a couple weeks and then on the San Deaigo. Very proud of him, we havn't always had the best relationship but I really feel that it is on the up side now and loking forward to his leave and going to a Seattle Thunderbirds Hockey Game, maybe it won't be raining and we could take the vette. Hats of the all that gave, regretfully I did not have that Honor.
THANKS to all! We owe you guys.
My son in law is home from Colorado for two weeks before he goes to Iraq. His orders are for 12 to 24 months. Thanks again!

Which base are you at and what is your AFSC? Any chance of getting your squadron patch or hat?? Will pay for it. I use to work in the old munitions maintenance sqaudron (MMS) Our motto "Without us the air force is just another unscheduled airline" Be aware of the japanese auto inspections. You have to get one and they require you to totally steam clean the engine and undercarriage. If there are signs of leakage and/or rust they will make you fix it before they pass it. I am recalling this information from 1976-79 when I was a Kadena AB, Okinawa. Maybe it has changed but food for thought. Watch out for the geisha girls.
