Vette(s): 1976 Stingray, L48 auto Buckskin/Buckskin Leather originally. Numbers matching.
If you or someone you know can assemble it, you should try pricing individual compoants. That is how I do it. If the prices are too high for a complete system, it may be cheaper to go this route.
Also consider using an AMD Athlon instead of the Pentium4.
I have run quite a few comp systems, including the second generation P4, and in my opinion, the AMD Athlon is a much better processor, infact I sold an AMD to try the "improved" P4, and was very dissapointed. 1.8 P4 wasn't as fast as my 1.2 Athlon. I have since sold the P4 setup, and am currently running an AthlonXP 1800+. AMD cpu's will bring the cost of your new machine down as well.

Vette(s): 1979 Black coupe. 11256 original, documented, miles on it when I bought it in April of 2000. It now has 13100 on it. Oyster interior, like new. Everything original, everything works, except the clock. Paint has a couple of minor flaws.
Normand,
I don't know if you have a store by the name of "Best Buy" where you live, but right at the moment I'm looking at an advertisement for a Sony, Pentium 4 processor, 2.53 GHz computer, with 15" Sony flat panel monitor, and DVD/RW Drive. Package includes keyboard, speakers, and HP color printer. The numbers are PCV-RS220/SDM-H553/HP3820.
This whole outfit sells for $1229.97 after mail in rebates.
Also in the ad, it shows a 19" monitor for $229.99 after rebates.
Sounds like it might match what you want.
