Vette(s): 1969 Monza Red Black Conv / Black Vinal hardtop 454/480 Tremec 5 Speed 308 Posi.Black Leather Interior, PS, PW, Air cond., tilt/tele,AM/FM Cass.-5 Pack CD, Hurst Shifter, side pipes 2004 Yellow convertible with black top and black interior
Well, I've said for a long time that I really missed my '74 Vette and my '69 Chevelle. I found a '69 Vette with all the options my '74 had and am very happy with it. Yesterday I looked at a '72 Chevelle Malibu. A three owner car with ALL documentation including the brochure the original owner doodled on while making choices for options on the car, build sheets, dealer delivery sheets, everything including the receipt for the first oil change. It does not have the exact options my '69 did but it is as original as I think I am going to find a Chevelle.
Just your basic 350 auto on the column with a 10 bolt posi, ps, pb, bucket seats and power top ( convertibles, ya gotta love 'em ). Seems like the perfect car to do a restoration on. For as much as I would like an SS model, I think I will be very happy with this "plain Jane". I just may put the 454 motor I am building for my '69 Vette in it to give it a 'bit of class' and save the original 350 on a stand.
The only thing I don't like about the car isthe color scheme, Pewter Silver body, dark green interior and black soft top. I think the car would look awesome with a dark green body and white super sport striping. Going to be a tough decision to change the color |headscratch|

Glenn, how are you going to put in your 2 cents worth if you keep buying new toys? |laugh| Then again I just bought a 4th truck and only my wife and I to drive them. |bouncy| Now if I can sell one of my motorcycles, I only have 3, I may have the cash to do more to the Vette. |cheers|

Nothing is really wrong with the color, I just don't really care for the combination. It is already in the paint shop becoming a medium dark green metal flake with white striping. Not much else with go with the green interior.
Car runs fine and handles, well it handles like an old car is supposed to handle....nice in a straight line a bit soft in the corners... |biggrin|
