I wasn't thinking, and I definitely learned my lesson.  However, by the time they process it, I'll be out of the country, so...

Vette(s): 2005 Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic Coupe --------------------- Sold 1974 T-top, 4 spd to BillKS

That's amazing!  Going 124mph in North Dakota in January.  I figured you'd have a foot of snow and ice this time of year.   Shocked

Don't worry about the ticket, just be careful and come back home safe.   Best of luck and God Bless.

(By the way, make sure you pay the ticket before you leave)

Mike,
Good luck, and thank you for your courage.
Be careful and God Bless.

I'm not telling you what to do, you know they'll be a bench warrant waiting for you. It will be a lot cheaper to pay now, compared to what it'll cost you when you return.

the ticket's already paid.  I went into court...the judge asked if I wanted to contest the ticket...and I said "Absolutely not, and I will gladly pay the fine."  I told her I wanted to take responsibility for my actions, but that I also wanted to demonstrate that I have learned my lesson (since I haven't gotten any citations since) and that I was trying to fix my record, and showed her the certificate for the defensive driving course I took in the December, and the registration form for the defensive driving course I'm signed up for in February.  I DID ask if she could reduce the point value of the ticket to avoid having a suspension on my record when I apply to work as a police officer in a few years, and she expressed interest in doing so, but upon sending someone to find out, she determined that the district court doesn't have jurisdiction to do so.  that's something I have to take up with the North Dakota DOT.

And by the way, the citation was in November, not in January! Wink  Although we still don't have any snow on the ground.  However, I was up in Devil's Lake last week for some pre-deployment training, and it got down to 45 degrees below.
