All's well in Portland.
Good thing we had our get-together when we did. I wonder how the Olympic Club fared.

Hey JT lives here too!
Anyway Larry lived through what most would call a hurricane. I was here at Satsop, (about 15 miles from larry's) on Monday and had to cut through downed trees and drove over power lines to get to the field. Lost almost all of one roof off the garage and saw today the garage is shifted over about a foot on one end. Many folks down here without power yet and still have to go to Oly to get home.
BTW, you can get around the I-5 closure by taking the Centrailia Alpha rd. 20 miles max.
At home, 30 miles from here we had helicopors flying people off of rooftops Katrina style. Wow, that sucks. 10' of water over the freeway Tuesday.
Blew hunks of roof off the barn at the farm and a few trees blew over but feel lucky to have so little damage.
Hope Larry is ok, he cant get to work. Aberdeen was landlocked from mudslides.

We usually get a few good windstorms this time of year and some flooding on the rivers but that was a bad combination of wind, rain and the warm temp that melted snow up in the mountains. It actually blew over one of those big bonnevile high voltage transmission towers. We drove into town for a couple of hours that day and the stream by our house crested on the way back. We had to do a little water crossing to get home and I got to give the wife a little class on that, thank goodness the road didn't wash out though. I'm starting to get a little po'd at the news cause they aint doing a very good job of forecasting these storms lately. You think they could see a sucker like that coming?
Hello free world. Sorry it took so long to log in but that damn wind made a mess of my hair so I had to get it fix. So where to begin, Wow, what a blow ***, Did I just say that, sorry. It was a rough night Sunday with winds like I honestly have never experienced before, friggin' awesome, God sure can livin' up a neighborhood. Lost power about 11pm sunday night, saw huge burst of light and a boom counted at least 6 transformers in my area alone. Monday got up to go to work, inventory at 6am, tried the hiway it was closed, tried back way it was blocked by train that was derailed a few cars, turned around and with the other way into town, the closest road that way was closed, had to travel down hiway 107 to 101 into Aberdeen, which was like driving in a war zone. After about 8 hours there found out I was landlocked in town, stayed working at store for the next 10 hours. got home, filled generator with gas, plugged all to good stuff in and settled in, got back to work on tuesday, got a generator trailer in for the store so we got up and opened for business, work around 9 that day. today was almost normal except that there is still no power in the major part of Aberdeen and Hoquiam. If I remember correctly there was 2 huge main power towers that blew down. We came out really well here at home, outdoor christmas decorations got molested really bad, and the santa on the side of the house is now hanging by neck, so sorry to say, I killed santa and thee is no more chirstmas so GO HOME. I do have to report that after the generator got started I got into the sun bed, got the raccoon mask up and running and went out into the neighborhood to rescue my follow masked friends, then when everything went black my little band of masked varmits and I set out to steal this town blind and buy that corvette limbo and install floats, say after all is said and done thank you all for caring and I am so honored to be a part of this blessed family, (that was the truth, really) thanks for caring come hell or high water the BBQ Must Go On.

Welcome back to the world, Larry.
Bet that was an exciting time.

We have tornados and ice storms here in Kansas to keep us from getting bored.
