Okay. I'm ready to purchase this 1970 corvette. Now my problem is...I don't believe Wells Fargo will give me a car loan, because when I tried to get a loan for the 77, they said the car was too old. So is there a financial service online or something that provides loans for classic cars, or what? I'd appreciate knowing ASAP, as if I purchase the car before the 1st of January the seller will take two thousand off his asking price.

My old Stingray...sure do miss it:

I usually just go to my bank and get a signature loan, bought the Harley and a vette or 2 like that. It pays to have decent credit??????????

Sounds like a winner, that's probably what I'd do. Better hurry, though.

Vette(s): 73 Conv, Blue-Green/White Top - 454, M21 - Dark Saddle Leather, Power Windows, A/C, Tilt/Tele, AM/FM St. (orig. and sounds like it too).#2 -- 2007 Coupe,3 LT package, Z51 option, Victory Red, Ebony Int. Clear Top.
I went with Capital One auto loans and had the check in hand in 1 day. The interest was 5.25 for a '73. You can borrow any amount including taxes, shipping etc. No problem with age of the car. The rate was a little higher if you bought from a private sellervs a new car dealer. They send you a check good for your max. and you write it for amount you need. The check is good for 45 days so you can look around. If you don't need the check just throw it away. You can get a .25% reduced rate if you have auto pay too. The site is

JJ Best was another one that seemed OK too...
