I go to autozone alot and usually give the guys at the counter an education what the part is and how it works. they got a large inventory which is nice, I dont go there for advice at all, but if you know what you need, its ok.

Bottom line, the stores only supply parts. Some are better quality than other, some are priced different. Could be Good or Bad. Buyer beware.

The people working there supply the service. And every one of them, like us, is different. Some are good, some are terrible (not like us...LOL). Keep in mind most of them are parts men, not mechanics or technicians. This means they are supply clerks, managers, and stock people. That's okay. It's what they do. We need them. We just don't need the bad ones.

If you want lemon pepper chicken go to the grocery store and get it. It's up to you to find a store that sells fresh chicken, and not road kill. They can help you find the things listed in your recipe, but they may not know how to cook it.

Just an observation.

Vette(s): 1969 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Just bought it from my uncle who owned it since 1971. Fathom green, green interior. 350/300, T400.
I had the worst experience ever yesterday at a place called I.W.I. auto parts in Cedar Rapids, Ia. I ordered out a fan clutch 3 wks ago, said it would be there in 1 wk. Went back in 1 wk, never even ordered it! Put $15 down and re-ordered it, arrived, wrong part. I paid $56, they refunded $43. They said s/h was non refundable, even though it was the wrong part, said I'd have to talk with their supplier. I did that, s/h was only $4.85! Those *&^%%! charged me $10.50 for s/h! I asked for the other $6 back since s/h is non-refundable and actual shipping was only $4.85, they refused. I Will anever buy anything from those *&%% holes again. Been working on cars 20 years never had a deal like that. The old saying "the customer is always right" went out the window years ago.

P.S, I.W.I stands for Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa Auto Parts. They have several stores in each state. The ad in the yellow pages says " Our sales staff sets the standard in expertise and customer service" Guess the standard just got lower...lol. Anyway, unless you want to give them a non-refundable profit for getting the wrong part stay away from these clowns.
