This is kind of amusing but also not at the same time.
Eight days ago at my girlfriends work,(an IRS building) someone tried to steal the spare tire from under my pickup truck. And the thief figured out quickly that that factory installed lock wasn't going to allow that.
Well, the thief returned today better prepared, and in broad daylight, 40ft from the building, by the windows, no other cars around it... they swiped it. Now mind you that this is a federal building. It is watched by 3 different agencies. And nobody saw anything. Needless to say, the local law enforcement reamed out the federal cop and the mall security. Now a spare tire is nothing, but what if it was a bomb being planted on the vehicle. Makes you think of how vulnerable we can be.

After all this country has been through in the past three years, including the so-called "security measures",
That is a very disturbing incident.
I'm sorry your tire was boosted, but thank God it was only that.

My daughter recenly "checked" her bagage before a flight from NYC.
When she got home - her bag was opened and the computer disk from her camera was stolen. Now certified agents checked her bag , put the TS sticker on it and sealed the bag. Still the camera memory disk was stolen. If some thing can be taken - what can be added . Makes you wounder haw secure "security" is - or are these "rent-a-cops" who are stealing for themselves
Sorry to hear about your tire - next time don't let the girl friend take the Truck(thats a Ha Ha)

There was a big story on this on T.V. this week, they are hiring people with criminal records on these security jobs,CHEAP LABOR,some of them have actually been caught on camera, just give them a white shirt and an american emblum on the shoulder, and let them have at it. KIND OF LIKE GIVING THE FOX THE KEYS TO THE CHICKEN HOUSE;this whole security thing is a laugh, nobody is taking it serious, not saying we dont need it but ,we need it done right
