Any pool players around here ?

 

I recently lost my pool case (shame on me).

 

It was a Giuseppe 3 butts 4 shafts real leather case with a Meucci Gambler 1, a Huebler and an old Schmelke and a bunch of accessories.

 

I play a lot; I have a handicap 7 in the APA league; which is not too shabby (and only 6 in APA 9 ball; go figure...)

 

ANYWAY, I just bought 2 new cues off of ebay, but I came accross this one and I though I might ask over here if anybody has ever seen it (or even use it).

 

It's a McDermott Corvette cue.  A guy in my league has one for sale; including the Corvette case for 250$.  I already bought the 2 I want to play with (a sneaky pete Predator and a generic break cue...), but if the Corvette cue would be a collectible item, I wouldn't mind keeping it in the closet.

 

Anybody knows how many of those they made ?  I know they only made them in '03 for the 50th anniversary, but it doesn't look like a "real" collectible item; no certificate; no serial number (and who knows about the production numbers...).  I don't see a GM trademark either.

 

Any thought ?
