They elected a new Pope... hes like 78, and his name is Pope Benidict the 16th..... You know, how does one become a pope? I mean I know how the election is held with the cardnals, but seriosuly how does one decide they want to be the pope? And especially at the age of 78, pope? Seriously...... think of 78 as term limiting..  they dont want some one else to hold the office for 26 years...

as for the aspiration..  why would anyone want to be president ??

if his motives are pure (which I hope they are) then his desire is to guide and expand the church in futherance of god's will.

a big deal was made over reagan having helped defeat the communists...  the pope had a huge role in that as well..
