I could use some feedback...is this a decent system for just fartin' around? I don't do any games, or download any music, etc. I mostly just talks to you guys, do some e-mail, and check out the Ebay action once & a while.(I would NEVER cruize the porno sites!)

Sounds like everything you would need. And a bit more than I have.
Enjoy it, and make sure you have/get/use the programs to protect it.

Well, once again, I have a problem.

My virus program detected a "Trojan Horse Downloader.Agent.ETP" last nite, and supposedly "healed" the file. Tonite, it found it again.

A trojan horse is very bad and can, if it's the right kind, with extended use destroy the drive & all contents. When you run a anti virus program only have one installed at a time as sometimes they confict with each other. Do you know how to uninstall projams? If AVG doesn't get rid of it try http://www.bullguard.com/ . I would also install the new sypware software from AVG. Also for every ones info anyone can get this stuff now just surfing normal sites...you don't have to be looking at the nudies. I've seen some pretty nasty stuff coming from major corporations & normal sites. I deal with this stuff every day & it's getting worse instead of better. If this dosen't work post again & I'll give you some more things to do. But backup your pictures & anything you need now before you do anything else.

"Exploit.WMF
These files exploits WMF vulnerability in Windows Operating Systems that allows malware code execution while WMF format file is opening. Unfortunately security patch for this vulnerability is not available at this time. AVG detects these files as Exploit.WMF and also as Trojan horse Downloader.Agent."

I have downloaded a "VCleaner Removal Utility" from AVG.
I am going to try it, and see what happens. I've heard that some of these viruses can dig themselves deeper into the 'puter every time you try to remove them. I hope I'm not fixin to do something I'm gonna regret.

AVG did NOT find these horsies today, so maybe it has been able to fix them.
I am having a problem with posting here, tho.

Ay idears out thar???

[QUOTE=Adams' Apple]Sorry, Larry....I don't go there!
(Mama might, tho....hhmmmmm
) I only go here, and to our club website anymore.

Naw, she wouldn't do that!! Now, your a different STORY.......! Dave said the software you have now should clear it out. So far, (knock on wood) we haven't had a problem. We use Norton and it automaticly updates the system for new viruses and if there is one it will isolate it. I think it has a built in virus killer spray....
...I'm sorry, I just couldn't help myself.
