Hey guys,
First off I would like to appologize if I seriously like mad anyone mad. Although I thought that the majority of the posts in repsonse to my "donation" post were rather harsh. The responses make me feel as if I am no longer welcome on the forums. When I made taht post I was seriously in a lot of debt and I was looking for any help witht he car that I could get. I was thinking of doing something rather harsh to get the money but I figured I would ask you guys to help and be generous to list names but forget it. Its a done subject. I'm just going to gather up like everything I got.. my computer, my monitor, speakers, home theater, misc Vette parts that were used and new, pretty much everything that I can get my hands on and just sell it on eBay.
Have a good day/night guys,
-Louis

I see this frequently so here's my.02. Go to the bank Borrow the $$$, on a personal loan, In a time frame that works for you REALISTICALLY, pay off all your bills, make monthly installments to the lending institution.
Don't go to credit cards, payday cash loans, fat uncle Harry, keep it with somebody non family that is an established lending instatution.
The sooner you do this the sooner ya can get on and breath again.
Keep postin the pics and how us ur wisdom...lifes tough but ya gotta be tougher...

Louis, you are welcome here as long as you follow the rules and your posts are in good taste.
My advice to you... if you were/are "seriously in a lot of debt," as you said... then your Vette should be your last priority. Paying your other debts first should be number one. The Vette is a HOBBY not a NECESSITY. And if your Vette is your only mode of transportation and it doesn't run, then perhaps you should sell it and buy something that does run and less expensive to maintain. If it does run, then just keep it running...don't go looking to fix it up until your other debts are paid off. And by all means... DO NOT ask people for money to help you with your Vette if you still have other debts to pay off.
Good luck.

My first Vette, now owned by JB79:

Hey guys,
Thanks for the responses. I can't and won;t ever sell my Vette. I've been through so much just to get rid of her. The VEtte is the only thing thats putting me in debt. So far I owe the engine guy like $1,000 I owe the guys doing some work on it for the interior/stereo liek $300 plus like $500 in parts. And I owe a rebuild place liek $120 for my VIR rebuild. So, its going to be a while before I cna even start to save on $300 a week. Plus I still ahve like $350 in parts from Ecklers left to go and like an additional $200 on Doc Rebuild to go.
But, I g2g to work. Have a good day guys,
-Louis

I have no job now....I got bills, and a mortgage too.
right now, my '85 'Vette is for sale. I don't wanna do it, but, I got to do something.

If I can't find a job soon, my prized '74 may have to go, too.

You just need to prioratize things. The 'Vette can wait...it's hard to see it sitting there, begging ya to "Drive me, please!!", but, if you just take your time, it will reward you in the end.

Louis, I will be happy to trade the $118,000. that the insurance company does not want to pay for my wifes hospital bills. To say nothing of other expenses.
I have the talent/skill to make my car near perfect. I do not have the time or the money. And you know what it looks like. But I am making slow progress. And so are you .
Hang in there, follow the rules, and stay around. It's a good journey dispite the hardships. If all you can do is go look at it and sigh, you still own a vette. And you have a lot of life ahead. Work you butt off and enjoy it as much as you can. They you will be just like the rest of us.
