Vette(s): 1979 Black coupe. 11256 original, documented, miles on it when I bought it in April of 2000. It now has 13100 on it. Oyster interior, like new. Everything original, everything works, except the clock. Paint has a couple of minor flaws.
Well folks, it looks like it is time to go kick Saddam's butt again. Either we go and do it, or he will eventually get chemical warfare developed enough to use it on all of us. This time I hope we go all the way and get that stupid idiot, and his backers. The Iranian people say that all we want is the oil, but we had it in 1990, and gave it back to them, after we put out the fires that Saddam started. What a HAIRBALL!!!!!!
I will probably get fried by a lot of people about this, but I think that I am right. What do you think????

I agree.
We are the peacekeeper's of the world just trying to protect our own people and keep our ways of life intact. Anyone who hates the way us "westerner's" live and denounce us will alway be a threat to us.

It's all about oil. if we were worried about weapons we should attack North Korea but they don't have any Oil. i just don't understand what happened to getting Ben Laden and any country that harbored them. they are the ones that attacked us.

If it was about oil then we would have 'taken' it back in the early 90's. Iraq doesn't produce much oil at all even thou they sit on top of one of the largest reservoirs in the world.
France is Iraq's biggest oil importer. You would think they would want us to go in there and get it for them, they don't. Anyway, oil goes to wherever the market is. Most of the oil the US produces goes to Japan. Why? Because the US gets more $$$ selling it to them. It's called the free market...

I'm with Norsky --
It's kind of hard to justify your actions based on the notion that "Iraq is not abiding by the UN resolution to disarm" if we ignore a corresponding UN request to give inspectors 8 weeks more time. If the UN calls for it OR we can honestly prove Saddam is linked to Al-queda -- it becomes a whole different ball of wax -- see ya later Baghdad! Even though he really is a first class a _ _ - hole, the media seem to have made Saddam out to be a real life Bin Laden. I deal with business contacts in Europe every day (Ireland, Sweden, Germany & Italy) and virtually all of them truly think that Bush is nearly as fanatic and aggressive as Saddam. What I really hope is that the UN shows some testosterone & leads the charge for the disarmament of Iraq.

That brings up a good point! Is the media making us want war, and to hate Saddam? Or are things really that bad over there?

I feel that the UN should be permitted to attempt to settle this crisis peacefully . Unfortunately there are sections of our media that are beating the war drums loudly . The fox news channel is really promoting this war , I have lived through too many of these conflicts and have seen more than enough of it . And what is up with some of these "religious programs embracing killing these days . Just my .02 cents
