Hey Guys,  I'm sending out a cover letter and resume in the next hour to Bentley Motors USA.  If anyone would like to look them over and make recommendations please feel free to do so as they are attached.  I can be reached by phone @ 301 526 5236 or by reply here.

Thank You!

Scot

Cover Letter:

Darla Notaro,

             My name is Scot Simpers.  I am interested in employment with Bentley Motors USA.  I spoke with Linda Krentler on Wednesday June 1st and she directed me to e-mail you with regard to career opportunities.

             I am a Master’s student at New Jersey Institute of Technology’s School of Management nearing completion of my MBA.  My concentration is in Infrastructure; however, I plan to complete the Marketing concentration as well due to my interest in the coursework.

             Automobiles have always held a deep attraction to me and as such I have a strong desire to work within the industry.  I feel that my unique blend of education and interests will benefit me greatly within an automotive firm.  My background in design will be a complement to my abilities working with people and my formal education in business administration.  All of this combined with a drive for excellence, a deep interest in automobiles, and a love of racing make Bentley an excellent career opportunity.

             Bentley’s dedication to its heritage, both in racing and in producing a unique combination of exhilarating performance with hand-crafted refinement in their production cars, makes Bentley an exceptional company.

             As a student of the arts and a student of business I feel that I represent an excellent opportunity to be a part of the team that makes Bentley a leader in its field.  I have often worked with people, as part of production teams and as part of my previous work experience, which I feel makes me valuable as an employee and co-worker.

             Headquarters positions have the mot appeal, and to facilitate my employment within such a position I am willing to relocate as needed.  I can be reached by either phone (301-526-5236) or e-mail (scot.simpers@gmail.com) most of the time and would appreciate hearing from you at your earliest convenience.  My resume is attached and I appreciate your time in considering me for a position at Bentley Motors USA.

Sincerely,

Scot Simpers

Scott, the only thing I see wrong is a typo in the beginning of the last paragraph;

"'Headquarters positions have the mot appeal, and to facilitate..."

I presume "mot" should be "most"

Good luck Scot.

One thing I noticed in Resume 2, the number list in the Experience - NJIT Counseling section, need to set the counter back to start at 1.

Scot;

   I don't know much, but I am a hiring manager (QA and Regulatory Affairs), and I would use Resume #2, lose the hourly wage figures (not germane to the type of positions you're looking for), punch up the NJIT experience, and one-line everything else. The positions that you're seeking are interested in relevant experience, not how you spent your time.

Good Luck, man

Roy
