My younger son had just moved from Boston to Brooklyn Heights in May 2001. He could see the towers two blocks from his apartment.
He was asleep when the first plane hit.
Friends called and woke him up.
He didn't leave his apartment for several days.
Very frightening and emotional for him.
We will NEVER forget.
