Vette(s): Used to own a 1979 Corvette now owned by JB79
Someone I know has a 97 Honda Prelude
with a 2.2liter 4cyl. It's got 60k on it and it is silently losing oil.
There are no spots on the ground, no smoke out the exhaust, but after 3000 miles, there is no oil showing on the dipstick.
Any clues where the oil is going?
Thanks a lot!!

You are probably burning the oil, just not enough to produce any noticable smoke... my truck burns 1 litre every 200km( or a quart every 125 miles for you americans) my rings are shot.... nothing to do except keep her full of oil and start saving for a new engine.
Check you valve seals, replace them and that could reduce consumption quite a bit at least it did for me.
How's your oil pressure?
