LOTS & LOTS & LOTS of Rain
.
We had 4" from late Thursday nite to Sat and picked up another 2" last nite. It's still coming down and looks like it will be kicking off some more severe storms later today. Had several tornadoes out west and 3 east of us last nite. Nite time for twisters is the worst!
They are saying strong to severe storm risk all the way to Friday.
Worst part is I can't get the car painted in all this wet
. She's in primer but won't be goin' much further for a while!.
It looked like Kansas was gettin' their butts kicked last nite too.
How about it Kansan's, ya'll OK?

As always this time of the year, them tor-na-does raise a ruckus around here. You get used to 'em (unless you happen to get hit). If you saw the bad news about Greensburg, KS (to the west of us), photos honestly look like Hiroshima.
Entire town is gone. Gotta keep those folks in yer prayers!

It has rained HARD and constant for an entire week now with another week forcasted. Constant flood watch. Grass grows too fast to keep up with it. I saw a storm sewer overflowing into the street this AM on my way to work. Penny stays in the garage as I finish a few minor repairs, so I'm not too bummed. We'll be crusin' in a week or two. Y'all stay safe!
Like Mike said, it's been raining cats and dogs here. Had several tornado warnings here over the weekend, but none hit us here. It's really bad in Greensburg, about 100 miles west. Whole town is gone! They found 3 more people today, one was alive. More rain forecast for the rest of the week.

If you look http://www.noaa.gov you will find this crap goes all the way to Mexico. Apparently there is a big High pressure dome over the northeast that is blocking the natural progression of these storms.
Our thoughts go out to those in Greensburg.
I've never seen so much standing water on this property.
We lost a 30+ year old redbud last nite in the storms and they are gathering on the border yet again tonight.
Joel, Micki and the rest of you Texans better keep an eye out. They are coming your way as well.
This is a he!! of a way to break a 10 year drought.
If you are in the central plains, you better keep an eye to the sky

We did not get any tornadoes this past time, but a few weeks back several tornadoes went into New Orleans and did more damage. We got 9 inches of rain last Friday, what a day!
Glad I have a lifted F250 to motor through the high stuff. Several vehicles flooded out, etc. Now all we have to do is watch the hurricane season!
But, if we are going to get the weather, I would prefer it during the week, so we can cruise on the weekend!
