XM needs your help now. Satellite radio is under attack. The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), the group that represents the large radio and television owners, is using its lobbyists, campaign contributions and political influence to stifle competition and stop XM from offering traffic and weather information and other valuable services to listeners like you. NAB is trying to limit XM's first amendment rights!
XM needs you to contact the FCC and your Members of Congress to tell them that you support satellite radio. Visit http://grassroots.xmradio.com to learn more about the threat, and how you can respond by easily contacting the FCC and your lawmakers in Washington, DC.
Exercise your freedom of expression. Let your voice be heard, loud and clear, just like XM!

I'm indifferent about XM Radio, but I have a deep seated hatred towards NAB. Why should they have total control of what I can listen to? Between them and RIAA they are the reason for MP3s and I'd rather send a check for $30 to a band directly than buy their CD at a store. The music I listen to is not heard on the radio. Classical music is, but its not like Beethoven's descendents are getting money from NAB for playing it.

I have Sirius Satelite radios in both of my vehicles. Absolutely love, No commericals, uncensored, and any type of music, news, or ent. you could ever want to listen too.
They started doing traffic reports in certain major markets. Not in my area.
This battle is no differnent then between cable and networks or cable and satelite markets competing.
Can't they all just get along. Its no darn different then getting your local channels through cable. The only people that are going to get the information are paying for it anyway, so they probably aren't listening to the local channels anyway.
