Hey There Vette Fans,
A happy holiday season to you all with hopes for peace and health and great Vette related activites!!
After spending nearly a year in Iraq in 2003-2004, I was kind of melancholy with the holidays approaching this year now that I'm home, thinking about how I felt last year and what our men and women are going though currently.
Well, I came across a fantastic effort put together by a very unselfish group of folks related in one way or another to soldiers fighting overseas. They are hosting a website , www.anysoldier.com, which basically accepts requets from soldiers overseas who are acting as distributors for some of the more needy soldeirs and those that do not recieve mail on a regular basis from home. You can basically scroll through hundreds of requests and what they are currently lacking or wishing for....and just take your pick.
I have since made contact with a group of soldiers that write me regularly, and my wife and I have adopted their platoon and are actively sending a care package on a reular basis for them to share.
So, if this strikes your your heart and feeling of patriotism to support our kids doing the unthinkable overseas, and you have not had the opportunity to support a unit directly, here's your chance. It's a small investment to make a bunch of guys and gals feel like they are supported and cared for.
Thanks for listening either way to my selfishness for the love of our troops overseas who allow us to spend the holidays so richly in freedom and peace.
God Bless you all

Hey Luke,
Thanks man I'm not old enough to go into the service, but I will write to someone I appreciate what they are doing so I can have a free life, and free others from their captives.
Remember without them = No Vette's only crappy Mercades, and BMW's.... l00l

Thanks for the info. We have family there so we think of those men and women every day. Lets support our troops!!!!!!!!!! Does anyone have any thoughts how c3vr could put together a package from all of us.

Thats a great idea! In the case that there's soltion to this suggestion, don't be shy to take it upon yourselves to put a warm thought in a soldiers mind that there are people back home that support them and haven't forgotten them. A small package of snacks and toiletries goes a long way!!!
