Well, I finally made it out of New Orleans yesterday.  I am currently in Millington Tennessee.  My house and I survived, a little beaten, but not broken.  Hard to feel down on yourself when so many have lost everything, including their lives.  For details on my past two weeks read the following news story, and yeah, i'm the short guy!

If you are in the Millington Tennessee area, let me know, maybe we can have a beer!  It's been a long two weeks.  Other than registering with all the disaster relief agencies I don't have much to do.

Hope anyone else on here from the New Orleans area made it out alright!  We will rebuild, no doubt about it.

Davii:  Good to hear you're safe.  I'm about 15 mins from you in Bartlett.  I fly the C-5 with the TN Air National Guard (VERY large military transport jet - not a Vette for you non-military types).  Was at Navy New Orleans twice w/the C-5 over Labor Day weekend and will go again somewhere this weekend.  Tremendous effort ongoing down there.  If you want to get together, beer's on me! lcb112038604.8013657407

You name the time and place lcb1120.  If you flew in you've already seen me, if I wasn't out on a convoy I was the only Marine in Base Ops at the tower.  And since Belle Chasse was the only working airport for a while, i'm sure that's where you flew into!

Great job Matt! Glad your ok and can take a break from the chaos. I am constantly amazed at the amount of damage I see in photos. I wish you well and everyone who has been effected by this massive storm.
