This one hits close to home as my wife's nephew has been in the Marines for sometime. These folks have been extremly busy since 911 with very little time at home.
We did recently have the honor of spending some time with him of a brief trip home. I can't imagine what it takes for them to do what they do on a day to day basis.

As one of my few marines in my unit to have dress blues, I had the honor of being involved in many funeral ceremonies. Every one of them was powerful and moving. Every one of them brought a tear when the flag was passed.
