It was President Reagan that made me feel good about our country again after graduating from high school and college in the 70's (like I hadn't since I was small). No matter what side of the isle you lean towards, you have to admit that when he shared his vision of the country with us, it made us feel good.

I joined the Navy a couple of years after he became president, and was proud to have him as my commander and chief. That event changed my life for the better, and now 21 years later I've grown from a disenchanted youth to a successful adult, based in part on President's Reagan's hope and vision for our country.

Amen to all of your comments. I grew up as a child watching President Reagan on television and was terribly saddened to hear of his death. But, one thing he did do for us all, with his wisdom, grace, and courage, was prepare us for it by going public with his alzheimer's disease. Although that doesn't take away the pain that all of the above posters feel, it just shows that even unto his death, President Reagan was a man of impecable character and continued to serve his country with dignity even after his oath of office had passed.

God bless America and I hope He has a special place in heavan for The Gipper.

The man who almost singlehandedly brought an end to the Cold War,and probably saved millions of lives doing it! Hats off to former President Ronald W. Reagan! |saluteflag| |cheers|
