He already has the best thing with American flair, it's silver and made of fibreglass.
You Yanks and Rebs are finally finding out that the world doesn't revolve around the USA. Your Pontiac GTO is actually an Australian born and bred Holden Monaro (OK, Holden is owned by GM but the Monaro is a real Aussie car) Have you guys ever watched the holy grail of races in really big off the showroom floor V8s. It's called the Bathurst 1000. Bathurst council (a small country town in New South Wales) decided they needed a race track to entice people to town but the fuddy duddies voted it down. So they re-entered it in as a scenic drive and it got voted in. This "Drive" is a hilly curvy race track with a huge downhill straight that they had to put a chicane in half way down some years ago due to safety. The original race used to be for cars direct from the showroom floor that were driven to the track and driven back to the dealership. Back then, there were no run off guards or railings, just a really good piece of road. Now it's bigger than Ben Hur and is only for Holden and Ford V8 sedans that have been "slightly" modified. This is the last race of the V8 Supercar series in Australia and New Zealand. NASCAR drivers have come and raced here and pooed their pants after one lap and the race is 1000 Kilometers long.
If you ever get a chance to see it, believe me you will enjoy it.
Before the race, many old race cars get to have a go as well. Of course, many Vettes turn up and have a ball.
Sorry to take over your thread Barry but sometimes I get fed up with Americans thinking that all things American are the best. Belgian beer is fanbloodytastic. Pity it's so expensive in Australia.
I'd love to get a chance to run my Vette around the Bathurst track at race time. The rest of the time it's a two way scenic drive, complete with pits, barriers and speed run offs! The speed limit for this scenic drive while it's not a race course? 60KPH. At race time they change all the speed limit signs for 200+
By the way you Americans do make a lot of things that are the worlds finest but why call a baseball game that is only played in the US, "The World Series"?

Chips,
As for the GTO, I think you're referring to the ones pontiac brought back in 2004. I might be wrong, but I think the original 1964 GTO was ALL pontiac, created by John De Lorean.
..beef jerky.. you have strange names Ok , if i ever go to a US restaurant i'l ask for
a fried jalaponeos and Armadillo eggs with beef jerky saus .
Anyone has a pic of what i may expect on my plate ?

INGREDIENTS:
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup bacon bits
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1 pound pork sausage
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 (5.5 ounce) package seasoned coating mix
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/8 teaspoon chili powder
- 16 fresh jalapeno peppers
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, bacon bits, chives, and hot sauce. In a separate bowl, mix the uncooked sausage and Cheddar cheese. On a flat surface, mix the seasoned coating mix, cumin, and chili powder.
- Cut a slit lengthwise into each jalapeno pepper, and remove the seeds. Stuff the peppers with the cream cheese mixture. Press the sausage mixture around the stuffed jalapenos, and roll in the seasoned coating mix to coat.
- Arrange the coated jalapenos on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake 25 minutes in the preheated oven, until the sausage is evenly brown.
