HOORAY FOR THE SENIOR GENERATION

A very self-important college freshman at a recent football game, took   it upon himself to explain to a senior citizen sitting next to him why it was impossible for the older generation to understand his own.

"You grew up in a different, actually almost primitive, world," the   student said loud enough for the whole crowd to hear. "We young   people today grew up with television, jet planes, space travel, man walking on the moon, our spaceships have visited Mars... We even   have nuclear energy, electric and hydrogen cars, computers with light speed processing ....and uh.."

Taking advantage of a pause for breath in the student's litany, the   "wizened" one said, "You're right, Son. We didn't have those things when we were young........so we invented them...... you arrogant little sh!*head!!   Now......what are you doing for the next generation??"

I love senior citizens!!! (and proud to be one:almost)

Funny, and probably true in some cases. Keep in mind though, that there are a lot of promising, bright young people out there.

Age, experience and treachery will overcome youth and vigor every time!

Another illustration of age and experience over youth (cleaned up for public consumption):

One day a young bull, wanting to show his virility to the old, experienced he-stud bull, boasted "Let's run down the hill and have our way with one of the cows!"

To that, the older and wiser bull replied "Let's just walk down the hill and have our way with ALL the cows!"

Do our younger generations forget, they also wouldnt have the freedom to enjoy these things w/o the sacrifices made to win WW2, among other things. And they arent reading their assembly manuals printed in German,Russian,or Japanese! Its not only arrogance, but ignorance to not realize this & have some degree of respect, even awe!
