"Death Race 2000" is #20. For Mel Gibson fans, "Mad Max" is #11 and "The Road Warrior" is #12. They call his car a '73 Ford Falcon, which I guess is the Australian version and different from the American version of the Falcon. I would have them up a lot higher on the list, like #39 and 40.......

If your interested, the Speed Channel is running a lost drive in Marathon starting this Friday. It is going to run over the New Years weekend. The Original Gone in 60 Seconds runs Friday at 8:00 PM.
Enjoy,
JR
Thanks for the tip. I'll definitely watch it, even though HOT ROD wasn't too impressed with it, with comments like it's "a micro-budget movie whose story makes no sense and acting that makes any 2x4 look like Sir Laurence Olivier. The movie also looks hideous." Then they decide to be a little more positive about it. "But the car chase goes on for something like 40 minutes with nearly 100 cars wrecked. And it's still better than the big-bucks remake released in 2000." Since it was made in 1974 I'll bet they wrecked some real 1960s and early '70s classics.....

I'd have to disagree with Hot Rod on this one....I liked the newer one(w/Nickerless Cage) way better than the original.
It's a car movie....it ain't "Casa Blanca"!!
