I spent 3 hours last week with the phone company trying to figure out what was wrong with my home phone, I'd get a fast ring and then the line would go dead. I'd get an occasional dial tone, but often just silence. They told me I had an internal wiring issue as all of their tests showed the outside wires were ok. They suggested that I unplug every phone and systematically go from jack to jack to try to weed out the problem.

What a pain. Nothing seemed to work. Just as I was about to throw in the towel and set up a big, expensive "inside" service call, I remembered that I have an unused jack in my basement where I once had an office. Anyone want to guess what happens when a 2-year-old rams a wall jack full of raisins? The raisins answer the phone & don't give you a message!

BY the time I got the raisins removed with a pair of tweezers, this same little monster discovered that it's fun to watch eggs splatter all over the kitchen. The whole bin full! Thank god he's my 4th. If he had been #1, he'd be #1 & only! |blinkyeyes|

What a hoot . |laugh| That reminds me of an incident many years ago when I needed to insert a CD into my computer. The disc just would not slide into the opening. After a few choice words I got a flashlite and opened up the door flap. Starring back at me is a pink plastic spirograph wheel, the kind with the teeth all around it, nicely jammed in. Well, my daughter was watching me work on the 'puter one nite and saw me insert some CD's. She decided that was nifty and shoved a spirograph wheel in the CD opening. Went in real smooth but it was a bugger getting out... |hammer|

My ex had an ancient computer for a long time. One night I get a call that was a bit different than normal..."I put my CD in the computer, closed the latch but the computer won't play my music and now I can't get my CD back!!!!" Very upsetting for her. Took me about 5 minutes to realize she'd put the CD in the 5 1/4" floppy drive. DOH! Wasn't hard to fix but boy was she ticked! CD actually was scratch free too!

Got to give her credit for watching and learning from what she saw!

Sounds like you used the same form of birth control as I did. Mine are 30 and 20, and BTW they never really leave home!

All I can say is . . . "life is definitely NOT dull around my house." |rollysmile|

The vette is my occasional escape from the usual insanity! :)
