Savannah is gitting hammered right now by this TS.I live on one of the barrier Islands and they ain't much to stop the feeder bands comming in off the shore.I've got big limbs down in my yard(get to use my new Chain saw!!)The roads a covered with pine straw and small limbs.I tried to go up the the Ace hwd.and they don't have power. All this crap and I don't have one bottle of water!!This may be my last post.If it indeed is I want to say that I love each and everyone of you for all the good times I've had here.

...SHALLOW COASTAL FLOODING EXPECTED AROUND HIGH TIDE THIS EVENING...
A HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM EDT SUNDAY.
STRONG WINDS ASSOCIATED WITH THE WEAKENING REMAINS OF TROPICAL
DEPRESSION BARRY WILL CREATE SEVERAL COASTAL HAZARDS THROUGH
TONIGHT. INCREASING EAST TO NORTHEAST WINDS THIS EVENING WILL
BECOME NORTH LATE TONIGHT. 5 TO 8 FOOT BREAKERS ARE EXPECTED IN
THE SURF ZONE THIS EVENING...SUBSIDING TO 4 TO 7 FEET AFTER

OUT OF THE SURF...EVEN IF THEY ARE EXPERIENCED SWIMMERS.
AREAS ON TYBEE ISLAND AS WELL AS SAINT CATHERINES ISLAND AND
SAPELO ISLAND WILL BE THE MOST SUSCEPTIBLE FOR BEACH EROSION.

Thanks guys.I've got too much to lose all those replacable buy my family with my dear, special vette freak grandaughter,/my very special friend that at age 10 could dirve my vette,Stiing on my lap,but she can park, back up use turn signals, look both way and use the shifter. Those are the most important,as long as I have my family I can survive.Oh and you guys too.Love ya all.We have a lot of fun on here.I'm in Chatham co.and right next to Tybee. This is what we call a backdoor storm but when it hit the panhandle of Fla it don't have much land to travel over before eo get slamed. It really gets bad when it crosses Fla and comes back out on the east coast and gets going again. This is the part of year that really gets me nervous June-Nov.
We've had a lot of rain in Charleston but
the wind has been mild. Looks like Barry will pass just east of the
coast. It floods here during high tide in a normal rain event so it
will probably be a coastall flooding event for us. We have worse during
an afternoon thunderstorm. The Ginn blimp was flying over the golf
tournanent today. Poor visibility and rain but not much more.
Must be much worse 100 miles south in Savannah where zgator lives.

Well, the worst is over here. We had a lot
of rain and it did flood downtown on the peninsula...always does. I
have no damage at the house. We have been in a drought here so the rain
is welcome. Thanks for the concern. That's one of the many things that
makes this site so great.
