Happy Monday!!! What I thought was an easy thing to do, is now making me think twice! I have the original finned aluminum valve covers on my LT1. I want to pull them off and store them. I really like the valve covers from the mail orders which have the crossed flags and "corvette" engraved on them...

My question, the LT1 valve covers state they are "Hi Performance" valve covers, where these aftermarket just say 350 SB... What is the differance and will these after market valve covers work??

Steve

Vette(s): 496 big block, Dragvette 6 link, 12 bolt IRS conversion, Going for fastest Vette IRS E/T
If they are the tall type valve covers, then they are designed that way to allow extra clearance for roller rockers and more complex valvetrain hardware. That is the only high performance need a valve cover can perform that I can think of. They will probably work fine for your application as long as its the perimiter type bolt pattern and not the center bolt valve covers.Tumarr38474.4454513889
