We set aside Veterans Day to remember, to honor and to pay respect to our nation's uniformed Patriots - American Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Coastguardsmen - who have, and continue to stand in harm's way that we might live in peace.

"Let us solemnly remember the sacrifices of all those who fought so valiantly, on the seas, in the air, and on foreign shores, to preserve our heritage of freedom, and let us re-consecrate ourselves to the task of promoting an enduring peace so that their efforts shall not have been in vain." -Dwight D. Eisenhower

It is with eternal gratitude that we remember those who have paid the ultimate price in service to our nation. We encourage all our readers to remember those Patriots and their families, and to pray daily for those who continue to serve today.

In honor of our veterans and active duty personnel, show your pride and gratitude for America's Armed Forces.

These are difficult times for military families, particularly in light of those who vigorously attempt undermine our national security, and demean military service. It is worth remembering these timeless words John Stuart Mill: "War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things: the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing worth a war, is worse."

My youngest Son (SPC Tyler Grant) fought in Operation Iraqi Freedom and no ones knows but another Veteran what these men and women have gone through in defense of our freedom!

No parent wants their child to see the things that he has seen or do the things that he has done in defense of our freedom!

I salute each and every Veteran and active duty military personell albeit full time, Guard or Reserve! This is your day!

Vette(s): 1972 coupe/350 cid/mild cam/4 spd/20 ft. paint (looks perfect from 20 ft.), but it sure runs nice.

These are the real heroes and role models.....not some athlete.  If you're willing to put your life on the line for your country...enough said!

It irks me that poeple regard athletes that play a game well,& get paid massive, unrealistic amounts of money to do it,as "heroes"! The real heroes are police, firemen, our military personel,& regular everday people who put themselves at risk to save someone else

As an old Vet, 1966-1970, I feel a deep honor to the men now in the service , God bless them and send them home soon. Because of men like them, we can still play with Vettes, talk to one another through email, and vote!
