A big THANK YOU to ALL that have in the past, and are still serving our country. We would not have all the freedoms we do today if not for the sacrifices of those who serve.
For myself, and my family, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE.

I proudly served 20 years and 6 days in the Marine Corps, with 2 tours in Vietnam. I retired from the Corps in August, 1980. I was in Marine Aviation working on everything from F8's, F4's & A4's to H-46, H-53 and Huey helicopters. Semper Fi to all and thank you for your service.

although never in the service myself, i had two brothers that served.
oldest did about 25years in the navy including three tours in viet nam.
he was one of the first advisors there back in 63-64. other brother was
a cobra pilot and did 3 tours in viet nam and was killed 4 days before
he was to come home. as i was just a teenager then and didn't fully
understand things, my feelings were what you say clouded. as i grew and
learned i realized how much all the men and women that serve really do and what
sacrifices they give for everyone else. a very big salute and a
big thank you to all that serve.

I was in the USMC Reserves from 1984 - 1987, and USMC active duty from 1987 - 1996. Started out as an amtracker (amphibious assault vehicles MOS 1833) and held that job through the Gulf War. Served in Operation Sharp Edge in Liberia, Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. After that I switched to ground radar repair (firefinder radar - MOS 2887) and held that until I got out in '96. I was a Staff Sergeant.
The military and corvettes go together. When I was in boot camp at Parris Island in 1984, a Drill Instructor had a late model C3 ('80, '81, or '82) which he had painted USMC colors and had an Eagle, Globe, and Anchor on the hood. (the USMC emblem) It was very cool and I decided that I would have a vette myself one day. I bought my first one a year later, and I'm on number five right now.Bry58501 2007-11-11 09:14:17
