Just an FYI -
I just received a message from a70vette@asbank.com which contained an attachment with a virus. Not sure where the guy got my email address, but his email indicated he knew I had a 70 vette and this site is one of two sites I know where this knowledge is obtained. Please relocate this message if appropriate or let me know if this is a dupe and I'll delete it.
Norton Antivirus immediately detected the virus...

I got a message from a friend that "thinks" he sent me a virus. But I can't find it if it's here...will run Norton completely again this morning just in case. Anyone know what nbsp means? He says it was attached to an email he got recently.

Could have gotten your email from that Worm virus that has been going around.

"nbsp;" proceded by an ampersand "&" is an HTML escape code, meaning "blank space".
It is used where you need to force a space to appear on a web page. Imagine in the line below that the _ are spaces:
This_____is_____a_____line___with____spaces.
After this line was typed in, and it is displayed on a web page, all those extra spaces get removed, so it would look like this:
This is a line with spaces.
So, if you want to force the spaces, you have to specify the blank space escape character. nbsp; (proceded with &) (I can't actually type it in correct, or it will get converted.)
So you'd type it in like this:
Thisnbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;isnbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;anbsp;nbsp;nbsp;linenbsp;nbsp;nbsp;withnbsp;nbsp;nbsp;spaces.
(remember, I left out the & in front of each nbsp;)
So, that was probably a lot more than you wanted to know about HTML, but once I started typing, it just kinda came out. Sorry!
Also, I get TONS of viral emails every week! It's REALLY annoying!
