Vette(s): 1969 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Just bought it from my uncle who owned it since 1971. Fathom green, green interior. 350/300, T400.
The President was in Waterloo, Ia today, I drove up to see him. I got within 30 feet of the podium and got some great pics. It was weird seeing him in person after watching him on T.V. last night. He gave a great speech.

Wow! I would love to see him and hear him speak in person. NJ is tie in the polls so I wish he would come here and speak.
Anyway that was really lucky, nice job.

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!
He was here in Cuyahoga Falls last week. I didn't get to see him. He was about 10 blocks from my house. Talk about a lot of police, helicoptors, etc. The crowd went for three blocks for those with tickets. They really could not see a thing. Those without were much further.

It was the first time a president has ever been here.

About two years ago when the President was visiting a small town nearby, a buddy of mine was one his way to my home as we were going to go to a big gun show. His normal route to my place was through this same town, and traffic was held up by police and other security checking everyone. My buddy had a rifle and shotgun behind the seat of his truck, and when he realized what was happening he said his butt pinched a chunk of upholstery out of his seat as he thought he was in big trouble just passing through where the president was and had firearms in his vehicle. When he told police he was passing through he was sent on his way, but not without the high pucker factor.
