I was surfing another vette forum and got really interested in one thread they had about what the different owners did! The range was amazingly diverse and I really couldn't pick out a trend to label a "Typical C3 Owner"
So, what does everyone do? I'll start off first...
I just graduated from the Univ of South Florida, got my BS in Biology, and am applying to Medical Schools around the country! I'm interviewing nowadays, and actually will be in Philly on Nov 25th for an interview...
I'm stil undecided about what specialty I want to get into, but the frontrunners right now are ER doc, Pediatrician, or Cadiovascular Surgeon... and part-time Vette mechanic :)

Ok I'll bite..If you ask me in 30 months minus 3 days, I will say that I am tired and retired. You are just starting out in the great adventure we call life, while a number of us Vette owners are either retired or looking forward to it shortly. I am a buyer for the U.S. Government. No, I havent bought any $200.00 toilet seats. lol

Vette(s): 1979 Black coupe. 11256 original, documented, miles on it when I bought it in April of 2000. It now has 13100 on it. Oyster interior, like new. Everything original, everything works, except the clock. Paint has a couple of minor flaws.

Congrats Imran. My daughter is exactly 4 years ahead of you. She will graduate from med school, at St Louis University, in May of 03. She is going into pediatrics upon graduation. One thing for certain, medical school is not a breeze. I saw what my daughter went through for the last 8 years, and you have to be really dedicated to get through it. I applaud anyone who can survive those 8 years......
Now for me, I was just a maintenance millwright, temporary supervisor, regular kind of guy. I have recently graduated to the best job I have ever had, "RETIRED". The only bad thing about retiring, is that you have to be OLD, or independantly wealthy to do it....
I'm sure that there is a real wide variety of occupations with owners of corvettes. Several of my friends have them, one is a barber, another is a retired police chief, one was a machinist, another owns an auto body shop. He happens to have two vettes, one is the purple pace car, I think it is a 2000, and the other one is a 2001 Yellow convert.
Good luck at school.

Ok, here goes. I work for the State Gov't in PA, and have only 10 years until retirement(at 46 years old)
Graduated from Ohio State with a degree in Business (which really isn't helping me in my profession).
Presently toying with the idea of getting a C5 and totally restoring the CE. Gotta get permission from the "Boss" first though.

I graduated Dartmouth College in 1987 & worked in consumer products marketing for Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati for 2 years after graduation. Got married & returned to the NY area to join a family buisness my dad started in '63. We sell METRIC industrial supplies -- everything from basic fasteners to odd items like roller chain and hydraulic fittings. Web address is www.metricmcc.com for those curious tinkerers. Have 4 young kids and barely a moment to myself. I cherish every minute I get out in the vette.
