My 1st car was a brand new ordered from the factory 1973 Monte Carlo. Power wise it was truely a DOG, Chevy had de-tuned the 350 so bad by then it was so sad. That car was like driving a living room. I really like that car. Had for 2 many accidents in it so in '77 I stripped it down and repainted it and she looked great. 2 more wrecks that winter and she got relpaced by 1978 Chevy Blazer 350 4brl 4sp with granny low, that thing could climb trees, tried it a couple times too. Then the 79 gas crunch hit that wa sall she wrote for that.

WOW, my first car was a beige 66 coronet with the slant six! I got it for $150 in 1973 because the tranny slipped. It had a leaky line that I fixed, and I drove it all thru high school. Probably had 150,000 miles on it when I sold it, and the next owner put another 100,000 on it.
Then I got a 68 and 69 cutlass, 78 century (new!), 73 vega gt, 69 vette, 71 charger, 70 firebird 400, 76 buick skylark, 78 camaro, 86 cutlass, 66 cutlass, 97 caddy (new!), 73 vette and a 99 taurus wagon.

Well my first car was a push button transmission 1958 Plymouth Savoy with a 318. It didn't look too bad for that time, but being 16 years old it didn't take long for the engine to go away. Did anyone know the R button does not mean race?
It used to use oil so bad I would go to the gas station and wait for someone to change their oil and then dump their old oil in the Plymouth.
My next car was a 66 Fairlane GT 390. Had alot of fun in that car

1968 Firebird convertible. 350 V-8 (Pontiac 350), 4spd, hood tach. Red with black vinyl interior and black convertible top. No power sterring or brakes. It transformed into a rust bucket growing up in the midwest, but loved the car's look and power. Was 16 at the time, really wanted a Vette -- many years later, now I have it.

81 Plymouth Sapporo.
Man did I beat the crap outta that thing! It was great for knocking over trash cans (empty or full) and romping through leaf piles... not that I did that stuff... I just heard, is all.

What is this thing.. I cant even find a picture of one.. not one being sold on ebay.
Sapporo is a Japanese Beer. Gotta like that in a car name! (see above)
My first was a bright orange '69 Camaro w/ 283, headers and cherry bombs, Cragers & L60s, jacked up a mile high in the back. Could hear it and see it from a mile away, LITERALLY. Bought it the week before turning 16. Every mother's nightmare. I once overheard a mother telling a girl I wanted to go out with "you're not going out in THAT car!" It was beautiful when I bought it. Within a month, first wreck over a bank in the rain (rear tires had zero tread). Many stupid incidents later, every panel of the car was crumpled except the hood, roof and truck lid. Then locked up the motor and sold for $500 in '83. Man I wish I had that car back...
Learned my lesson. I will make sure my son's first car is something expendable. Then once he gets some experience and sense, he can get something cool. Of course, I know what it was like to have one cool car as just a green 16 year old high school junior - nothing like it.

Plymouth Sapporo. Ahh yes. I have worked on a few of them. Don't worry Adam, I had a Pacer wagon. And a Hornet wagon. And a 69 VW Camper Bus. You have no shame.
Ben picture a cross between a Nissan 200 SX and a VW Rabbit. 2 door sporty looking ecnobox. Not a bad little car. Or try a cross between a 240Z and a Yugo. Maybe you get the idea.
