No, not of your Vette.... of your Internet Connection.
You probably know what it is supposed to be 56kbps, 6mbp, 10mpbs, 15mpbs, etc, etc.
But do you really know?
My work connection STINKS!!! I'm getting 253kbps DOWN, 959kbps UP.
I'll have to check my home connection later, but it should be around 15mpbs.
There is a site to check.
Just go to the site, click on the server that is geographically closest to you.
Here's the site:
http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/
Let me know what your connection type is (Dial-Up, DSL, Cable, Fios, T1); what speed you expected to get (what your Service Provider tells you you'll get, if you know it) and what the report says.
So here's mine:
Type, Claimed, Actual
T1, 10mbps, 253kbps

I get up to 35mg download and 3 mg. upload. They give us a speed boost for the first 40 mg or so. I use speakeasy every day at people's houses and it seems the most accurate. Rock On. I should be getting 9 mg. d/l 2 mg. u/l. So it is hard to say after the speed boost. I have Comcast Broadband the regular tier. The speed tier does around 15 d/l and 5 u/l. BTW I get it FREE!
Try a different modem, I bet it didn't take some updates. Try unplugging it for a minute and see if it takes an update. If you are using a router bypass it for the test.

I got 435Kbps upload and 2570kbps download with a DSL line to the Dallas testing site. I don't remember exactly what the rated speed is supposed to be.

I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!
I have cable. They advertize as fast, but there are times when it is slower that a three-legged dog.

First, I find it interesting that your up speed is quite higher than down.
Also, 38kbps!?!?!?! OMG! How do you deal with that!! You really need to move! I think you could walk to the C3VR Server in Arizona faster!
btw, to make you feel worse, my HOME connection speeds via FIOS:
Down: 12713kbps
Up: 1822kbps
MaBell Dial-up w/56kbps modem (actual connect speed: 49.2 kbps)
Test results:
Download Speed: 38 kbps (4.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 61 kbps (7.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 61 kbps (7.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
