Joe Smith started the day early having set his alarm clock (MADE IN JAPAN) for 6am.
While his coffeepot (MADE IN CHINA) was perking, he shaved with his electric razor (MADE IN HONG KONG).
He put on a dress shirt (MADE IN SRI LANKA), designer jeans (MADE IN SINGAPORE) and tennis shoes (MADE IN
KOREA ).
After cooking his breakfast in his new electric skillet (MADE IN INDIA), he sat down with his calculator (MADE IN MEXICO) to see how much he could spend today.
After setting his watch (MADE IN TAIWAN) to the radio (MADE IN INDIA),he got in his car (MADE IN GERMANY) and continued his search for a good paying AMERICAN JOB.
At the end of yet another discouraging and fruitless day, Joe decided to relax for a while.
He put on his sandals (MADE IN BRAZIL) poured himself a glass of wine (MADE IN FRANCE)and turned on his TV(MADE IN INDONESIA), and then wondered why he can't find a good paying job in A M E R I C A...?

I didn't mean to make anyone cry...
Saw this and I had to vent because it is true.

Nothing but the truth and the whole truth..Seems like the only thing we make in this country is other countries wealthier. I think made in America now means flippin hamburgers at Mickey D's

Its really scary. Im a software developer.. Mfg is all overseas, The tech sector is being outsourced at an alarming rate to the point of the industry is drying up, DOCTORS do 2nd opinions via the net to a NON USA LICENSED doctor in some 3rd world nation, AIRLINES are being maintained by someone who doesnt speak english or barely speaks english and doesnt understand the trouble report (my biz partner is a coml pilot), 1-800 is all overseas, the news (Andy Rooney) said last night that GM and Ford have a HUGE problem keeping doors open, farm work is all going away.... Really, im not on a soap box, but whats is the US going to do in 15 years when the tax base is un or under employed? Good thread!

I wonder what percent of a 2006 Corvette is made is USA. Anyone want to guess before we look it up?

it would be a good thing to do, but now its too late! i challenge any of you to walk into any retail store, (target, walmart, kmart, any store) and pick up anything at random- with all certainty you will read: MADE IN CHINA. it will not matter what it is. very little is made here. if you look at things that are made in USA, look further- youll see that it is assembled from parts made overseas.
our trade deficit is way beyond fixing at this point. its depressing to think of, but its true.
