Its seemed awfully quiet down here in the General Non-Vette Discussion section! Just curious what everyone's been up to!
Life- I've got exams next this week and next, and I had projects due last week and this, so the past few weeks have been shot.
Vette- I'm still 253 miles from the old girl. Last time I was home the engine was running(a plus ;). the interior electronics were a lot messed up. and the battery was losing chrage like its life depended on it. My headers also rusted through at the collector. I think the interior elec and the battery are closely related, so first thing on the agenda is to see if I can't stop the heater fan from blowing continuously even in the "off" position, and if I can get the "E-Brake On" light to go out when the brake isn't on. Seems to me like there is probably a minor short there. Exhaust, well, for now, JB Weld, later in the summer it will probably be replaced.

Just to darn busy to get on-line. Between "WORK" and home(kids), if I have a free minute I sit behind the wheel of the white princess and go 'vrooom' 'vrroomm'

Scot,
You have all summer to get the ride on the road. We gonna see you in Hershey?
The garage is about 8 to 10 hours of work to completion of building. Next will be decorating and picking out the right lift. Took tooooo long to build it. Now have 5 cars to fit in a 4 bay garage. That's what happens when you work for the government as long as I have, you become brain dead.

Glenn, the ride will be on the road all summer if everything goes to plan. If you're talking about the Hersey event on 9/14 i won't be able to make it, since school starts up the last day of august. Once that happens its one big trainwreck straight thru december. Month to clean up and bury the dead, and then another till May! I'm planning on coming up to PA with the White Witch at least once over the summer, not sure how close to dukman you are though. We'll see, I might make it to a king of prussia cruise or something. Sad part is...the Southern MD Vette club is well not as far, but its over 100 miles away...and I'm IN SOMD! hehe Anyway. Back to studying, 3 exams, then home monday night!

Meanwhile Way Out West.... Me and Steve got to meet Mike (mikem715) on 5/3 (in pouring rain!) at the Petersen Automotive Museum in L.A. at their 50th Celebration Day. Had a blast chatting and looking at 300+ Vettes, hangin out with friends and meeting new one's.
Steve's now moved up within and working for Enterprise Truck Leasing as their head truck tech for the Simi Valley branch...without cutting his long hair or shaving off his goatee! HA! :) The best part is he really likes his job and the other guys he works with.
For me, I've been busy the past weeks looking for a job. Too much fun I tell you! I've also been spending alot of time with family and friends and working on the Vette and club projects. That stuff helps keeps me going. Replaced the hatch w/strip on the Vette, now it's much drier inside! And since that's fixed, she's now got a leak from the P. side valve cover...I swear, it never ends! lol
