Always keep hope If it were mechanical you would have fixed it already - I'm sure this is frustrating that you can't do anything

Some times we have to turn to professionals - like doctors to help us

You have been that doctor to many of us mechanicaly as well as spirtualy Hope we can be there fore you and yours

My mother had a series of brain sezuers and etc - after about a year - all that she lost was a bit of her sense of humor

I pray that your wife fully  recovers - God will only hand us what he thinks we can handle

God Bless

Big Al

Glad to hear of the progress Ken. She will get better, she has to...she has so many people pulling for her.
CCU is a wonderful place because of the great one on one care you get there, don't rush to get her out of there.
Try to hang in there yourself Ken, I know it can't be easy. Pulling for you buddy.

Thanks for the update Ken.  I'm really glad to hear things are starting to look up!

I'm sure you already know this, but NEVER put checking in here as a priority over the rest of your left.  Really the only thing we ask for at this point is regular (maybe weekly or bi-weekly) updates on your wife's condition.  We know you have other things to worry about then checking C3VR.

Be well, and be with your wife as much as possible!

We'll all catch up with you when she is back home.

Vette(s): 1972 coupe/350 cid/mild cam/4 spd/20 ft. paint (looks perfect from 20 ft.), but it sure runs nice.

Hang in there, Boss!.....Any improvement at all is good, means you're on the right track to recovery. In the meantime, we'll continue praying for you both.

JR

Professor Ken, Hang tough! I know what you are feeling, been through a very similier circumstance w/my bride. Always remember to stay positive and hang tough!! I would not even hear of my bride not making it. This was 3 years ago and we both ran in a 5k fun run Memorial day. All my friends say it is a miricle and it is, but the man I depend on is in the miricle business and he ain't half finished yet! Hang tough!! Something that helped me was talking with other people. Not those that did said " well if see dosen't make it is God's will:, but rather those who told me to get off my a-- and get busy working and praying. I am praying for you and your wife is on our prayor list at church.

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!

More good news.  The breathing tube and feeding tubes are out of her airway.  The feeding tube is directly into her side and stomach.  SHE CAN TALK!  Very quite, and not much, but we can communicate again!  The docs tell me she should be able to speak normally in another week or so.   She was quite shocked to find she has been in the hospital for 3 weeks.  Still Sept or Oct at earliest, and maybe several months more before she can come home.  But it's going in the right direction.  Other things are a concern, but aside from the rest of my family, nothing else really matters.

And you guys are part of my family.     Hey, now maybe I can do some more work on the Vette!  It's been lonely.

That's good new Ken.

Keep thinking positive.  Your family has a strong bond and it will be even stronger. That's priceless!  This will greatly help in your wife's fast recovery.
