i saw that documentary- man that was some powerful stuff.
i really believe its wrong to make a hollywood movie about it, as its only been 5 years since 9/11 happened, and i really dont feel the need to re-live the incident again on the big screen. seeing it in person was enough for me. its not fun to see out the window as its unfolding on CNN.

I cant go. I was in the bldg for the 93 bombing. I worked there for 14 years, My Mom worked there from opening day until 90. I met my wife there. I transfered to the NJ office in 8/2000. In actuality I was supposed to start working back there 9/4/01, I asked to have it put off until 10/1. I had the jewish holidays, vacation and my anniversary all in 9/01 and I would have been out more then I would have been in. My firms associate firms lost about 300 people on 9/11. The Beamer family live the next town over from me. I just cant go.. The new set of documetaries, I watch them by myself when the house is quiet. It still doesnt sit. If anyone comes to NYC, PLEASE see the site. Theres nothing to look at right now but there doesnt need to be.. Also, the new museum opens in 2 weeks right across the street. Wow, sorry to be a downer on this..
btw, The doc by the 2 french brothers has been shown on the History Channel. Its amazing.
KeBo, those who either lost someone, was in NY during the attack, or saw the WTC site before the clean up are the ones that will have the most lasting effect. My company donated (loaned) a few trucks and a couple of industrial size generators. I delivered one of those trucks to the site 4 days after the attack. My wife's cousin who's in the NYPD brought me in to ground zero. There's no way that I'll ever forget what I saw.
The thing that was the hardest, I'm in the commercial insurance business. We re'd the WTC, we had a ton of policy in those bldgs. I worked in a mobile trailer for weeks in lower NYC. Cant forget this stuff. My old man, anyother Vette head and my sounding board said after talking to me and my friends who are cops and firemen, it sounded like we had mild ptsd. My dad was a serviceman. He saw the movie, said it was terrific but terrific like Shindlers List and Saving Private Ryan. It wasnt entertainment. I actually think Im gonna try to go...
