Went for an after work cruise today.
No top, sunny and a balmy 15 out there.
Darn, those ice fishing shacks kinda sneak up on ya at 85.
Where can you cruise like that and not worry about the cops?Big%20smile Jeffm2008-02-11 16:52:06

Yo, even in the mid-west deep freeze, I had her out today (to work and back and some shopping) and the hi was only 22!!  I did wimp out, though . . . kept the T-tops on!  Rolling%20On%20The%20Floor%20Laughing Sure glad I turned the heater valves back on.

I was able to cruize a little Sunday afternoon. Wasn't too bad, but I left the tops on too. Met a guy in a pretty sharp 74. Orange with a wide white comp. stripe. We pulled over and checked out each others car. Dog gone, you just meet some good folks driving these things don't you?

I saw a White '82 Vette parked two blocks from my house today.... covered with an inch of snow.  Now that gets me in the mood for spring. I will have to check to see if they are selling it. From what I could see looked like a nice paint job to be sitting uncovered and outdoors.
20 below wind chill here yesterday.
Like an unwanted step child, no respect for the Vette!

I feel your pain Jim! Well, not as much as you. We have about half the snow and our wind chill was only in the -40s. Is it spring yet???

Several years ago, we went fishing in central Minnesota.  It got to -52, and the gas in the propane heater turned to liquid so the heaters went out.  If you went outside and spit (I don't remember why someone had that dumb idea), it froze before it hit the ground.

And we didn't catch any fish.

I turned on the heater in my garage and worked on the great pumpkin for a while, but it just wasn't as much fun without being able to leave the door open and chat with neighbors.  And tools don't ever get very warm.

SIGH!
