No doubt you guys are dedicated to the vettes. What with washing them in those winter months when you don't really have to. I admire your dedication and your vettes look GREAT!
Gotta run now, headed to the park.  LOL

Thank God I have a garage and my wife's mini van to drive in the rain. I really can't complain about the rain when most of you have snow, I'd rather be wet than frozen, and you don't have to shovel rain.LOL

I saw on the weather last night that the Cascades got 103" of snowShocked.
They showed trailer trucks on the road with the snow on the side of the road about 3 feet higher than the trailers.

Vette(s): 74 coupe 4 speed 350, 54K actual miles, all original; paint, interior, engine, split bumper. #'s match. 2nd owner, no stress cracks.
It is interesting, we all made our choices on where we live.  Just something to think about.  Usually we are stuck where we are for a number of reason like job, family and etc.  But once someone retires, we can live where ever we want.

Why do we live where we are now and why don't we move?  Cool

Like Chicken, Alaska......sounds like a nice place to me. Wacko

Since you mentioned it - here's a bit of history from the home page of Chicken, Alaska:

Why Do They Call it "Chicken?"

Good Question. In the late 1800's, early miners traveled far in search of gold. Food was sometimes scarce, but a particular area near the South Fork of the 40-Mile River was abundant in Ptarmigan, now the state bird which bears a resemblance to a chicken (Ah the foreshadowing is thicker than steel.) The miners kept themselves alive with the help of the Ptarmigan (if you consider being eaten as helping.)

In 1902, Chicken was to become incorporated, the second town in Alaska to do so. The name "Ptarmigan" was suggested. Many people liked the name, but felt the quotation marks were too presumptuous. The name was shortened to Ptarmigan.

The only problem was that nobody could agree on the correct spelling. They didn't want their town name to be the source of ridicule and laughter, so they decided on "Chicken." (The irony is thicker than the foreshadowing.)
