Hey guys,
I went to the Pomona swapmeet on March 5th. Got some cool stuff, surprise when the car is finished. Anywhoo... I was having a hard time finding my parts. I stumbled upon the J&D Corvette booth. I got my BIG items there, buy gave me half price! Dennis is a great guy... I had a problem with one of the emblems bought at the show... he sent me out another one, next day I had it didn;t like it he ssent me a new one again, 3rd time the charm.. snet the other 2 back. This place also does amazing work. I beleieve it was a '66.. crashed int a light poile in the back. E-brake slipped, and downa hill it went. Frame twisted, fiberglass crushed. THey repiard it... now you can't even tell it happened. If you need good parts, fast, and cheap... give them a call
1-800-838-8353 ask for Dennis, tell him Louis sent you.
P.S. all their fiberglass in done IN HOUSE!

sorry Louis , just another silly joke

I went to J&D to have my valve lash adjusted, because I heard, what I thought was a loose rocker (what do I know). Anyway, I got the car back, and the mechanic says he hears "some kind of noise" in the engine, but doesn't tell me what it is.
I drive away, and there is the same "clicking" noise I heard before when I thought it was a loose rocker. Turns out I had an exhaust leak on the passenger-side header; I didn't need the valve lash adjustment after all.
I won't be going back to J&D anytime in the future.
I have been in the hospital sitting next to my wife from the end of December to the end of January. From then the college, my wife, my class I'm taking, my part time job, doctor appointments, and my errends for home have consumed all of my time. I finally have a bit of a break. For a while I thought the universe was trying to kill me, and slowly winning. But that's a bit different now. I can catch my breath again.
Whew!
end (see 'zodiac got hit from behind' thread) Just want to let you know I
sent it to J & D and they have done AMAZING work, I've checked on it
often and the glass work is flawless, it's now in the paint tent and I
shouold have it back in 3 weeks. I hope you never need their body shop,
but if you do, they rock.
