When I owned my prior C3, I was a college student.  At the college, there were generic parking lots for the general population, and then there were upper-class, VIP lots for the seniors, which were very close to the actual school buildings.  At the time, I was basically a sophomore.

I remember one day having trouble finding a parking space for my C3, and was a bit irked at the fact that other students got preferential treatment.  So, that day, I drove up to one of those VIP lots for a closer look...

The lots were protected by one of those wooden gates, like you see at a parking garage.  An access card would prompt the gate to lift, the person would drive in, and the gate would close behind them.  No camera, no guard.

I pulled up to the gate, and noticed that since my C3 sat so close to the ground, the nose would go completely UNDER that gate.  So, I decided to pull forward a bit more...   :)    I got to where the gate was at the T-top, and learned that, if I put my hand out of the driver's window, there was enough slack in that gate that it would push up completely over the roof of the 'Vette..    :)   I rolled through, under the gate, and the only thing that hit was the antenna on the back.

Let's just say that I had free VIP parking for the rest of the semester.      ;D
