Vette(s): 1976 L48 stingray

Hello to all Corvette lovers,

I just returned from Iraq in mid June and my wife surprised me with a 76 Stingray that I always dreamed of owning.

It's in a pretty good condition but needs a lot of little things fixed or replaced.

I'm not very mechanically inclined so I hope no one will mind if I ask a whole bunch of silly questions in the forum (I already started with a power steering leak).

I'm so glad to have found this site.

Thanks,

Steph

Steph,

That's the same way I got mine! Only it happened in 2003. It will give you something else to enjoy, and think about.

Ask away, that's how I started and I even can answer some of the questions now (the easy ones).

Welcome back, Steph, and thanks for your service over yonder!
Congrats on the "new" 'Vette!!
The only silly questions are the ones you don't ask. There are a lot of good people on this site, and there will always be someone who can answer any question you might have, or can put you in touch with the people who can.

Vette(s): 1979, 350sb, as my kids affectionately call it "shit brown" Corvette purchased in 1996. 84,000+ miles. Not a show car, but I love her just the same.

Welcome to the club!  Nice to see you have a picture posted already.  You have a special wife and you need to let her know she is special as much as possible, because heaven knows she's gonna get to drive that vette very seldom if you're as much a vettehead as I think you might be.

Thanks for your sacrifices and service!
