Hey everyone. I've been trying to decide on a good project car, that I don tneed to use as a daily driver...Anyway the C3 vette has always been on the back of my mind. I started looking seriously a coupl edays ago, but can hardly find any, and when I do they are pretty pricey. Now I went to E-bay, and I've found at least 6 or 7 that have tons of pics, clean titles, and seemingly great bodies....but they are very cheap....between 2k-5k...is this too cheap? or is it normal for ebay? Just dont want to get screwed looking for my dream car! Appreciate any feedback asap-thanks!
This is just my 2 cents, but I would have to look at a car in person before bidding. there can be a ton of very expensive things to fix on a C3, mainly the frame and rear suspension. There are good deals out there, but there are also alot of people peddling junk that they can't get rid of locally, buyer beware. Just remember, you get what you pay for.
Matt
Also look for some C-3's here: http://ww2.collectorcartraderonline.com/search.php
Too me. Anything under $5K's usd is going to be pricey to fix up.
I would also go see the vehicle personally or have an appraiser look at it before you do anything you might regret.
Good Luck in your search.
I appreciat ethe insight, but arent I protected as a consumer...in other words if something like that happens cant I back out b/c of that??
Also, what would be a good price ( a deal) on one of these???
PS-thanks for the input Matt
Hey thanks for the site Iron
No Problem. This is where I got mine from a couple in Ft. Myers, Florida. Had no problems getting an appraiser to look at for me.
I'm not sure what year your looking for but the '80 to '82 should go around no more then $20K's usd(close to excellent and/or off frame) and the pits around $5K's(depends what's wrong).
On the other years I'm not good with them. If you need advise try here: http://www.kbb.com/ Best recommended for your seach on all of them.
Good Luck.
Sorry about the Blue Book... They only go to 1985....
I do believe that some sellers on Ebay do give you the right to back down but watch out for the non-return of deposit. Some keep the deposit and some don't when your back down from buying the vehicle.
